3 thoughts on “Does New Theory Pinpoint Lost City of Atlantis?

I have started to watch several series on the History channel and SCI and have a question that I would like to ask. While watching an episode about the lost city of Atlantis, I came to understand that there is new algorithm that researchers have started to use using Plato’s key descriptions of the city and landscape to locate where it could have possibly been located. One such researcher states that he found a location off the north east coast of Africa that matches the most hits on this algorithm. A new episode aired that was focused around Antarctica when a thought arose. According to past publications a Harvard educated sciencist published a book describbing a platonic shift that could have completely altered the location of land masses. Theoryes have been made that says that this shift could be the reasons that mammals have been found flash frozen in the Siberia. If this is correct, the Antarctica would have also been located in a much warmer climate. New discoveries are being made of pyramid shaped masses on Antarctica, one being much bigger than others found elsewhere across the globe that could point to there once being a civilization located on this now frozen land. In fact, a map was found that dates back to the 1500’s I believe that showed an altered version of the land masses across the globe that depicted an island that looks to be Antarctica. This map included mountain ranges that match imaging of Antarctica, but showed no ice. If this was true, and Antarctica was previously in a warm climate, could it be possible that this could potentially be a possible location of Atlantis? If a sudden disaster took place that caused this platonic shift, which would have happened withen days, it could have been mistaken as the island sinking due to its sudden move, as I imagine that the ocean would be very rough at that time. Ancient Egypt depict that the first thing created on earth was the island on the egg, which has some similarities with Antarctica, and had an advanced civilization. This is just a thought, and I would love to hear back from you on this. Thank you so much for your time.

Hi Brittany – thanks for reaching out. You have obviously done a lot of thinking about this. As I was merely the interviewer for Book Talk I think the best is for me to forward your query to the author. Good luck! Simon
