Cybergate: The Back Story(3)

It was a month since I had heard about the story, when my girlfriend sent me a link to a news story about Connell’s plane crash. The story of his fiery death in a Piper Saratoga, shortly before Christmas, 2008, not long after he had testified in a law suit that implicated Karl Rove in what would, if true, be the biggest crime against democracy since Watergate; the grief and anger of his wife, Heather; the mysterious nature of the plane crash, all struck a chord. Not so much a political chord – I wasn’t coming with any particular agenda – but a human one. The image of a woman waiting at an airfield for a plane that never arrived, haunted me. Who was Michael Connell ? How did he die ? Was it an accident ? Or had he been murdered to keep him from saying what he knew about the hacking of the Ohio 04 election? And perhaps others …( to be continued)

First, thank you for investigating this story. Why havn’t the media reported on the connections between the IT companies, certain members of the GOP and possible election manipulation and even more importantly why hasn’t the Atny General and or the Gov. dpt. in charge of secure elections investigated this? My next question is do you think this type of manipulation could be in play with the latest govenor and senate elections though I certainly agree that public sentiment is a plausabile explaination. I just can’t shake the feeling that Cheyne and Rove don’t have dirty dealings going on. Thanks again.

Thanks, Lisa – the best explanation I heard ( from Mark Crispin Miller) was that there was a conspiracy of silence about this among the mainstream media because, were it to be proved true, it would so damage the image of the USA as a beacon of democracy to the rest of the world ( i.e you can hardly preach freen & fair elections to the Afghan people, when your own were so woefully compromised). As to the govt. departments not pickng this up – of course, the personnel only changed one year ago and they have other fish to fry. There is also, always, an unspoken agreement between incoming & outgoing govts. that the new admin. won’t dig up too many old bones ( which can be seen as vindictive). But I think it quite possible – I like to think, perhaps partly because of this story – that the FBI will now investigate the circumstances of Connell’s death. As to recent results in MA and elsewhere: I think that one was popular sentiment and a lousy campaign by the Democrat ! But I do have evidence to suggest that what happened in Ohio is being exported to other parts of the world, so there’s an international dimension to this. I’ll be posting more about that and the rest of the Back Story in the next days & weeks, so stay tuned. And please help get the story out there, via facebook/twitter etc. Cheers.
